The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) will host its second annual Innovative Interior Design Education Awards celebrating innovative teaching practices in interior design education.

The CIDA is an accrediting organization responsible for setting standards and evaluating degree granting interior design programs. CIDA's goal is to promote higher education, the professional organizations and creative approaches to interior design education.

CIDA-accredited programs assure the public that interior design education prepares students to be responsible, well-informed, skilled professionals who make beautiful, safe, and comfortable spaces that also respect the earth and its resources.

The competition is open to faculty members and collaborating teams at CIDA-accredited interior design programs. Awards of up to $3,000 are available to winning entries. Submissions are due no later than September 15, 2011 and winners will be notified in January 2012. More information about this competition can be found here.
