Each year in preparation for Design Chicago, October 12-14, the Design Center showrooms at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart nominate interior designers who have demonstrated creativity, originality and overall great design.
This year’s Ones to Watch winners include four of Chicago’s rising design stars: Beth Downs, Beth Downs Interiors, Ltd., Jun Chun, Gettys, Michael Stornello & Tom Konopiots, Vincere Ltd.
“We are very excited to celebrate these 4 designers who have demonstrated their commitment to creating innovative design and who the Design Center showrooms regard as some of the next big names in the design industry,” said Julia Chappell, managing director of marketing for the Design Center. “We will be honoring Ones to Watch winners at a cocktail reception on Wednesday, October 12, 5:30-7pm at Nick’s Fishmarket located on the 1st floor of The Merchandise Mart.”
The Ones to Watch Reception, which will be hosted by Chicago Home + Garden Editor, Jan Parr, will be held on the first night of Design Chicago. Design Chicago is a three day educational interior design trade conference bringing together industry leaders and design professionals to showcase the latest trends in interior design, featuring four renowned keynote presentations, 10 innovative CEU accredited seminars and more than 70 new product introductions from Design Center showrooms.
