Later this month, the Cathedral Antiques Show in Atlanta will launch two weeks of charity design events for the local community including a designer show house, several house tours, and a lecture with Atlanta native Miles Redd.

The Cathedral Antiques show features over two dozen curated dealers of period furniture, jewelry, art and accessories ranging from 17th-century antiques to iconic mid-century modern pieces gathered under one roof. The show will kick off with the annual preview party on Wednesday, Jan. 30 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and will be open through Saturday, Feb. 2, everyday from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The annual show house, known as Inspiration House, features 24 interior designers from 18 firms who have transformed the historic Lanier House on the grounds of The Cathedral St. Phillip.

This year’s designers and firms include: LWC Interiors, Parker Kennedy Living, Reiner|White, HammerSmith, Harrison Design Associates, Bonner LLC, Wesley Huffard Interiors, Brooke Merrill Home, Summer Loftin Antiques, Y McFadden LLC, Bill Ingram Architect, Rhonda Peterson and Associates, Sherry Hart Designs, Lori May Interiors LLC, Dayka Robinson Designs, Bryan Alan Kirkland Designs, Founders Kitchen & Bath, Petite Maison and Eumenean Construction.

“The Cathedral Antiques Show Inspiration House will offer the public a rare opportunity to see this Buckhead jewel as it might have appeared more than 80 years ago when it was not only a family home, but also the social center of the area,” said Cindra Brown, co-chair of the Inspiration House.

On Thursday, Jan. 31, Atlanta-born interior designer Miles Redd will give a talk and sign copies of his recently published book, The Big Book of Chic.

The annual “Tour of Homes” allows guests to step into five of Atlanta’s timeless, beautiful residences. Each home is a showcase of the best interior design, architecture and art of living good in the area. It takes place on Sunday, Jan. 27th from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The “First Place Passion Tour” will close the show on Sunday, Feb. 3 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., as seven homes will be open for tours in the family-friendly Meadowbrook neighborhood.

Tickets to the Cathedral Antiques Show, which includes a tour of the Inspiration House, can be purchased online, at the Cathedral Bookstore, or at Boxwoods. All proceeds from the event will benefit Refugee Family Services, a non-profit organization supporting the efforts of refugee women and children to achieve self-sufficiency in the United States.
