Debuting November 18 in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood, the Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Home for the Holidays Designer Showhouse & Marketplace will run through December 11, in a 6,000-square-foot, five-bedroom, five-and-a-half bath Federal-style home renovated and reimagined by architect Charles Heydt of Pak Heydt & Associates and David Childers of Macallan Custom Homes. “We are so excited to be involved in the restoration and addition of an older home,” says Elizabeth Ralls, editor in chief of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles. “We feel that the character and soul of this house are going to be felt by each of our guests, and result in a magical, and more intimate holiday experience.”
Atlanta-area mother-and-daughter design team Cheryl Womack and Alison Womack Jowers of Womack Jowers Interiors are Honorary Chairs for the event, and will design the living and dining rooms of this year’s showhouse. In a new initiative this year, the magazine and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta have named a Junior Chair: Angelica Hale. A former CHA patient, Angelica received a kidney transplant from her mother, and now serves as a singer and advocate for various causes; she recently performed at the Miss America Pageant, representing Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by singing the national anthem.
