AD’s new EIC taps Jane Keltner de Valle as style director
By Staff

Architectural Digests's newly appointed editor in chief, Amy Astley, has hired former Teen Vogue colleague Jane Keltner de Valle to be ADs style director, beginning September 6. Keltner de Valle was previously fashion news director at Condé Nast’s Glamour.

The move may be seen as a way to make the AD brand less trade-centric, something Astley was quoted as trying to do with the AD100. “For me, it’s about opening it up. I would say that’s probably the biggest theme across the whole entire AD product: More open and with more personality,” she told AdWeek.

In the new role, Keltner de Valle will manage the style section of AD’s front-of-book, in addition to producing style and design content for the web and developing and writing features for the magazine.
