Earlier this month, in Manhattan's Frank Gehry-designed IAC Building, Interior Design magazine held its ninth-annual “Best of Year” awards—just a day after hosting more than 1,000 members of the design community for the 30th-annual Hall of Fame Awards at the Waldorf Astoria.
BoY Awards
Members of the design, architecture and manufacturing communities gathered to celebrate the year’s outstanding industry projects and products, as well as major players in a new subcategory that recognizes material innovation. Additionally, for the first time ever, the winners tied in Healthcare, Gallery/Museum, Theater and Residential Other categories.

Hosted by Interior Design Editor in Chief Cindy Allen and President Mark Strauss, event winners were selected across 125 categories by Allen and a jury of design leaders.

“This year’s BoY awards was especially exciting, with so many incredible projects and products celebrated by the industry,” Allen said. “We at Interior Design can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2015, which is a special year where we will celebrate our 10th annual awards.”
