On Monday, September 18, more than 150 guests gathered to celebrate Stanley Tucci and the launch of his cookware collection, Tucci by GreenPan, at the Columbus Circle location of Williams Sonoma by the southwest corner of New York’s Central Park. Joining in the festivities were Katie Couric, Sheila Bridges, Kerry Diamond, Mario Thomas, Tayshia Adams and Will Taylor.
“We are passionate about bringing customers best-in-class products, and it’s incredibly exciting when we get to do that in partnership with someone they love, like Stanley, and a brand they are loyal to, like GreenPan,” said Felix Carbullido, president of Williams Sonoma.
To create his new cookware collection, Tucci—a food fanatic, cookbook author and seasoned traveler in addition to being an acclaimed thespian—was inspired by his Italian-American family and the time spent together in the kitchen when he was growing up. He collaborated with GreenPan to make high-performing pieces that embrace a modernity that’s both functional and refined; the designs not only facilitate preparation of the perfect dish but are stylish enough to be included as part of the tablescape.
Each piece of the Tucci by GreenPan collection is hand-crafted in Italy to be induction-compatible, with customized handles that ensure comfort and control. Consisting of three-ply stainless steel or scratch-resistant hard-anodized aluminum with ultra-durable ceramic nonstick interiors, the collection features more than 35 items, most of which are available in three colorways that evoke Tucci’s deep love for his familial homeland: Carrara White, Venetian Teal and Milano Black.
