An annual design event at the A&D Building in New York City set the stage for the debut of designer Barry Goralnick’s James collection for Watermark Designs. During the building’s Wine & Design night on November 7, the Brooklyn-based company—known for innovation in faucets, fixtures and accessories—unveiled this sophisticated bathroom collection, which elevates the popular industrial trend.
Hosted at the Ferguson showroom, the evening offered hors d’oeuvres, wine and custom-crafted sweets as guests mingled with Goralnick and his colleagues, exploring the luxurious finishes and refined details of the James collection. This stylish celebration was a highlight for industry insiders, spotlighting the elegance of Brooklyn-made design and the collaborative spirit between Watermark Designs and Goralnick.
On hand to celebrate were Keith Gordon and Amy Graydon of Goralnick Architecture Design Studio, along with designers and architects Glenn Gissler of Glenn Gissler Design, Tim Button of Stedila Design, William Bates of Fairfax & Sammons, and Steve Killcoyne of Allen + Killcoyne Architects; members of the media, including Andrea Lillo of Designers Today; and industry insiders Grace Ann Baresich of Sotheby’s International Realty, Carol VanderKloot of Hausman, and Sybao Cheng-Wilson, director of the estate of artist Ching Ho Cheng. Matt Vecchiolla, Michel Perez and Geraldine Morrison of Watermark Designs and Nathan Figueroa and Steve Toor of ST Sales Corp also toasted to the collaboration.
“The James collection’s nod to traditional and industrial design has one foot in the past and one in the future,” said Goralnick. “People gravitate to things from their personal histories. The Bauhaus movement popularized the industrial aesthetic, bringing it from the factory to the home. This modernized design with elegant finishes takes bathroom design to a new level.”
“Watermark Designs is honored to work with New York’s premier interior designers and architects, turning their design visions into exquisite creations for their clients and the broader design community,” said Matt Farwell, VP of luxury brands for the company. “We deeply value our partnerships, including our long-time collaborative relationship with Ferguson. These types of relationships are integral to our efforts to drive increased awareness and demand for our beautiful assortment of kitchen and bath fittings. We are also grateful for our collaboration with celebrated designer Barry Goralnick and thank him for his remarkable passions, designs and continued support of Watermark Designs.”
