On Thursday, October 23, TileBar hosted an opening cocktail event in celebration of its new Washington, D.C., showroom in Logan Circle, welcoming architects, designers, media and influencers.
More than 150 guests came together to fete the launch, including Michelle Brunner and Sharon Jaffe Dan of Home & Design Magazine, Mary Douglas Drysdale of Drysdale Design Associates, Ann Gottlieb of Ann Gottlieb Design, Kate Kirkpatrick of Gensler, Elle Odoi of Décorelle Studio, Jessica Powers of Modern Luxury, Byron Risdon of Byron Risdon Interior Design Studio, Lisa Shaffer of Lisa & Leroy, and social influencers Rashida Banks, Whitney Davis and Imani Keal.
Throughout the evening, attendees mingled with TileBar’s leadership team, including founder and chairman Eli Mechlovitz and newly appointed CEO Ira Melnitsky, who together are guiding the company through its next phase of strategic growth. Chief marketing and product officer Andrea Bozeman, EVP of retail Steve Gewirtz and VP of marketing Steph Pandey were also in attendance.
“We are thrilled to officially open our Washington, D.C., showroom and welcome the city’s vibrant design community,” said Melnitsky. “Seeing designers and architects engage with our products and explore the showroom’s collaborative, hands-on environment was incredibly rewarding. This opening represents not just a milestone for TileBar’s national growth, but a chance to share our passion for design and collaboration with homeowners and professionals alike. We couldn’t be prouder to offer a space that inspires creativity, sparks ideas, and brings our vision for immersive design experiences to life.”
Cocktails and seasonal bites complemented the lively atmosphere as guests explored the brand’s selection of surfaces and showroom amenities, including dedicated workshop stations to mix, match and mood-board from thousands of samples. As a finishing touch, guests received custom-engraved candles inspired by TileBar’s product array, an elegant memento of the brand’s commitment to crafting beautiful, sensory experiences.
Designed by the award-winning design and architecture firm Gensler, the interactive D.C. showroom represents a bold new chapter for TileBar’s national growth and mission in transforming the way people experience and select tile and bath accessories. TileBar’s new location elevates the showroom experience into a tactile, collaborative design destination, enabling commercial and residential clients to discover unique styles that align with their project vision.
