On April 19, The Shade Store and Veranda hosted a lively dinner to celebrate the design community of Atlanta. Guests gathered at The Chastain, located in the heart of the Chastain Park neighborhood in Buckhead, for an intimate dinner. The Shade Store co-founder and chief executive officer Zach Gibbs and Veranda’s editor in chief Steele Marcoux gave remarks to commemorate the happy event.
Guests included Suzanne Kasler, Melanie Turner, Mallory Mathison, Monet Masters, Matthew Quinn, Jessica Dais, Tavia Forbes, Will Huff, Heather Dewberry, and vice president of sales for Hearst Design Collection David Hamilton.
“The Shade Store has had a presence in Atlanta for more than a decade, and this community is filled with so many talented designers,” said Gibbs. “It was exciting to bring this group together, reconnect with old friends and meet new designers who are doing such impressive work.”
“I always love visiting Atlanta and celebrating design with their vibrant design community,” said Marcoux. “It’s so nice to see familiar faces and meet new designers. It’s always a pleasure to gather with partners like The Shade Store, which is so supportive of the design trade.”
“Veranda and The Shade Store share a commitment to supporting and celebrating designers—at the Kips Bay Show Houses and across the country,” said Hamilton. “It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with the amazing team there, and we appreciate the opportunity to toast the Atlanta design scene together.”
The dining table was set with a custom table runner in a new Victoria Hagan for The Shade Store fabric, punctuated by vibrant spring florals provided by Bittersweet Botanicals.
