On Saturday, October 26 during High Point fall market, more than 50 designers gathered in Wildwood Home’s showroom on North Hamilton Street to learn about how others in the trade charge, budget for salaries and find qualified employees.
In a conversation moderated by Business of Home editor in chief Kaitlin Petersen, Interior Talent principal Ken Roberts and Pearl Collective co-founder Erin Weir presented the findings from the recently completed 2024 Interior Design Business Survey. Rounded out by designer Dennese Guadeloupe Rojas, the panel offered a first look at the data and resources designers need to drive smart business decisions now and into the future. The conversation touched on design business trends, hiring, financial challenges and future plans, and how to apply these state-of-the-industry findings to your business.
“I’m so proud to partner with Pearl Collective and Interior Talent on this annual survey,” says Petersen. “I truly believe that this type of data is essential for industry growth. It allows us to take the temperature of the industry on pressing topics like fees, salaries and competing for talent in today’s marketplace, and offers a detailed real-time snapshot of how designers are working today.”
“I’m so grateful to Wildwood for its support of the industry, and for creating space for important conversations like this one,” she continues.
“The heart of our success is the strength of our partnership and our commitment to supporting the interior design community,” said Wildwood’s Whit Barnes.
