On Sunday, October 27, Robert Abbey Fine Lighting kicked off an event-packed weekend with a meet-and-greet at their Market Square showroom in High Point to celebrate the launch of the brand’s Carbonia licensed collection by Michael Almodova-Sorensen of Mavisten Edition. The designer was joined by Robert Abbey president John Kay, chief creative officer Nathan Hedrick, and marketing VP Mary Vincent Hager. Guests sipped mimosas and nibbled on breakfast bites while exploring the illuminated space, which was designed by Michelle Boudreau.
Among the guests were James Fleming of Camelot Advisory Group; Alison Reynolds and Eric Reynolds of Unique; Shannon Davis of Cece Bowman Interiors; Lisa Beebe of Patrick Lewis Interiors; Tera Dollin of Shoppe Amber Interiors; Stevan Gill of Boswell Design; Shima Toyserkani of House of Shima; Ryan Kirk, Sydney Davis and Crosby Howard of Curated Designs; and Lorena Fernandez of Adorna. One of the brand’s newest ambassadors, interior designer Glenna Stone, was also on hand to celebrate.
“We are thrilled to introduce our latest collections, which promote a perfect blend of domestic craftsmanship and global inspiration,” said Hedrick. “Robert Abbey has a significant advantage in the industry by offering domestically manufactured products in a wide color palette that covers a spectrum of tones from vivid and bold to soft and muted. Each has a unique personality that can enhance a variety of settings and styles. We are excited to showcase a mix of materials and finishes in our new collection.”
During High Point Fall Market, a number of collections launched in the Robert Abbey showroom, including the retro-futuristic metal Elliott collection; the bamboo-inspired Kane collection in fun single and dual-tone colors; the natural rope Hatteras with modern accents; the Emma; and the two-tone Clare chandeliers. The Carbonia collection is a fresh take on candlestick lighting with a clean aesthetic, available in lacquered burnished brass or black chrome. One of the most exciting launches was the Custom collection, with 24 styles available in 28 colors.
