Interior designer and art advisor Elena Frampton hosted and curated Minted and Farrow & Ball’s summer pop-up at Exhibition the Barn, her Bridgehampton, New York, gallery. The open-air space showcased a collection of limited-edition, ocean-inspired, abstract and geometric artwork from Minted alongside a coordinating palette of Farrow & Ball paints. Classic coastal shades All White and Kittiwake served as the foundation for mixed-media and photography works, all by female artists, including Maja Cunningham from Fort Worth, Texas, and Arash Fattahi Acosta from Caracas, Venezuela.
“It was our pleasure to team up with our friends at Farrow & Ball and be introduced to the Minted team for a fun summer soiree and curation event at our Exhibition the Barn gallery,” said Frampton. “We regularly specify Farrow & Ball paints for our projects, and so it was an absolute treat to transform our gallery with their colors Kittiwake No. 307 and All White No. 2005 in their signature, superchic Dead Flat finish. The blue of Kittiwake refreshed our key walls with an unexpected splash of color for our summer shows. It shifts in the daylight from shades of blue-gray to blue and presents like a neutral. Our clients have long asked for a durable, ultramatte, multisurface paint, and it is wonderful to showcase the product in our own space. We learned about Minted’s art program and their roster of talented abstract artists, including many female artists of personal interest to me. I selected ocean-inspired abstract works alongside more graphic and geometric prints to showcase the range of possibilities for accessible, modern beach living.”
More than 40 attendees came to the pop-up, including interior designers and influencers from the Hamptons, New York and New Jersey. Notably on hand to celebrate were Garrett Bredenkamp, Colette Sabins and Christine Diaz of Farrow & Ball; Chrissy Morford and Sarah Greenwood of Minted; Kaitlin Petersen of Business of Home; Rachael Burrow of Veranda; Kathryn Given, Sarah Shelton and Grace Beuley Hunt of Luxe Interiors + Design; Jordan Slocum and Barry Bordelon of The Brownstone Boys; and interior designer Brooke Abrams.
“We were thrilled to partner with Farrow & Ball and curatorial expert Elena Frampton on such a beautiful summer soiree and exhibition,” said Morford. “Her Hamptons venue was an incredible setting for our large-format abstract works and photographs, all by female multidisciplinary artists and perfectly complemented by Farrow & Ball’s coastal-painted walls. This collaboration was a direct reflection of Minted’s mission to champion creative expression and empower the work of artists around the globe. Sharing their work with some of the design industry’s best has been a joy.”
“While out east to debut our new wallpaper at the East Hampton Design Social Pop-Up, we were thrilled to partner with Elena on a refresh of her studio and exhibition space,” said Bredenkamp. “Our Dead Flat finish in Kittiwake and All White provided the backdrop to Elena’s thoughtful curation of the Minted artworks on display. Dead Flat is paint perfected—our most matte and durable performance finish. Scuff-resistant and able to be scrubbed, it’s ideal for a high-traffic working space like Elena’s multipurpose studio and gallery. We loved the opportunity to collaborate with wonderful partners like Frampton Co. and Minted, and it was the perfect time to gather with clients and friends in Bridgehampton to showcase our latest innovation.”
