On February 13, Luxe Interiors + Design celebrated its 2020 Gold List Honorees, an influential mix of top interior designers, architects, builders, and landscape architects who have had their projects editorially featured in the magazine in the past year.
The celebration was co-hosted by editor in chief Pamela Jaccarino and EVP and managing director Kate Kelly Smith, chief sales officer of parent company Sandow’s design media brands. The event was held at Brown Jordan’s Miami Design District showroom, hosting over 150 guests from across the country.
“We were excited to celebrate this year’s Gold List in sunny Miami, a city that exudes originality, inspiration and impeccable design, synonymous with the creative vision and extraordinary talent of our 2020 Gold List honorees,” said Jaccarino.
Luxe welcomed influential honorees such as Rush Jenkins, Ellen Hanson, Dana Lyons, Danielle Rollins, May Sung, Andrew Scott, Marc Appleton, Kristin Mullen and Peggy Platner. Industry players, including Stephen Elton of Brown Jordan, Elizabeth Margles of Caesarstone, Stephen Bowen of Hubbardton Forge, Tiffany Guido of Legno Bastone, Johnna Lombard of Lutron, and Marissa Cornejo of Luxury Living Group, were also on hand to toast this year’s talented honorees.
“At Luxe Interiors + Design, we believe in the power of design to inspire, innovate and connect,” said Kelly Smith. “With the collective force of Luxe’s national edition, plus 14 regional editions, we are proud to showcase and applaud the incredible design talent on the Luxe 2020 Gold List. We thank our invaluable sponsors for their support in bringing this two-day annual event to life. Once again, Luxe delivers.”
The evening’s sponsors included Brown Jordan, Caesarstone, California Closets, Downright, Fleetwood Windows & Doors, Hubbardton Forge, Legno Bastone, Lutron, and Officine Gullo.
“We are honored to provide our Miami showroom to host the 2020 Luxe Gold List celebration over three floors, including a rooftop terrace overlooking the Miami skyline,” said Elton. “We truly value our partnership with Pam, Kate and the entire Luxe team.”
The celebration culminated on February 14 with an awe-inspiring Honoree Day, which included a welcome toast at Luxury Living Group and a tour of luxurious residential properties in Miami.
At the iconic One Thousand Museum Residences by Zaha Hadid, Luxe’s guests received a private tour of the legendary architect’s only residential skyscraper in the western hemisphere designed in her lifetime. The tour, led by Louis Birdman and Jason Kaye, included the Sky Lounge, the wellness areas, and the full-floor penthouse designed by Hernan Arriaga. The next tour, hosted by the MB Team of Compass, was of a stunning Bay Point estate overlooking Biscayne Bay with every inch customized to the owner’s eye for design. This intimate group of 60 attendees were greeted by each property’s top design team, from the developer and interior designer to the art curator and lighting/home automation representatives. The excursion concluded with a fitting celebratory luncheon at the Mediterranean-inspired villa Casa Tua, sponsored by Caesarstone. Luxe’s Honoree Day was made possible by Luxury Living Group, Bandalux, Caesarstone, Hausscape, and Valcucine.
