On September 14, industry guests were invited to join Annie Meyers-Shyer and Asia Baker Stokes for a Mad Hatter–inspired tea party to celebrate the launch of the new Disney Home x Sanderson collection at the Whitby Hotel in Manhattan. The hotel’s Reading Room was transformed to showcase the magical collection of fabric and wallpaper inspired by a century of creative history.
Designers on hand for the festivities included Celerie Kemble, Corey Damen Jenkins, Young Huh, Shawn Henderson, Kesha Franklin, Eneia White, Lilse McKenna, Cary Jones, Amy Magnolia, Emma Beryl Kemper, Åsa Bollvik and Lotta Meynell.
Members of the media also enjoyed the launch of the collaboration, including Stellene Volandes and Dania Ortiz of Town & Country, Natasha Wolff of DuJour, Madeline O’Malley of Architectural Digest, Asad Syrkett and Parker Bowie Larson of Elle Decor, Dennis Scully of Business of Home, author Darcy Miller, Heather Clawson of Habitually Chic, Hadley Keller of the Design Leadership Network and Demetri Kotenoglou of The Conservatory NYC.
“To celebrate our new Disney Home x Sanderson collection, we wanted to create something that brought the sophistication and whimsy of the designs to life,” said Beth Holman, president of Sanderson Design Group. “The Whitby Hotel was the perfect setting for our Mad Hatter–inspired tea party. It was such a joy to see so many from our industry delight in the playfulness of the collection patterns set against the backdrop of giant flowers and mushrooms in our very own wonderland.”
