The Boston Design Center hosted its annual Boston Design Market October 11 and 12, drawing a crowd of over 2,500 designers, architects and industry professionals. The event included keynote presentations, panel discussions, CEU courses, pop-up shops, art exhibitions and more.
One of the keynotes included Peter Sallick of Waterworks and Dering Hall, Lee Rotenberg of IvyMark, and Timur Yumusaklar of Schumacher, who discussed how their businesses have created solutions for challenges facing interior designers. Following the keynote, Waterworks hosted a grand-opening party in its new showroom.
“Having attended design markets across the country, I’ve become somewhat of a market snob—and what I can say is that I was blown away by what I saw at Boston Design Market,” says Rotenberg. “The events, panels and parties were top-notch. Other cities have a lot to learn from the handling of it.”
