On January 4, members of the design community gathered at the Timothy Oulton gallery in New York to celebrate the launch of Anderson-Higgins Design, the new firm founded by Kyle Anderson-Higgins.
To toast the occasion, AHD was joined by more than 60 industry professionals, clients and friends, including Bill McIntosh and Martin Raffone of William McIntosh Design, Hillary Dagnall, Nick Gagne, Pam Hersch, Trina McKinney, William Rutledge, Christopher Sale, Julienne von Turkovich and Lori Wander. Guests were treated to a spread of chef-prepared hors d’oeuvres and platters from Citarella, complemented by a selection of wines and champagne.
In 2023, Anderson-Higgins opened his namesake studio in New York after more than 10 years in the high-end residential design industry. At the launch event, he reflected on the journey that had brought him to this moment in remarks to his guests. “Throughout my career, I had some amazing opportunities to work at the renowned design firms of David Easton, Thomas O’Brien and William McIntosh. I owe my early successes and extensive knowledge to working directly with those designers and their talented design teams, many of whom are with us tonight,” said Anderson-Higgins. He also took the opportunity to thank his husband. “It has always been a dream of mine to open my own studio, and I would not have done it without the support of my husband, Patrick,” he said. “He has been my number one cheerleader every step of the way.” The designer then toasted the crowd: “Happy New Year! And thank you all for being here to support me in this new chapter. Cheers!”
