ASID NY Metro tours Judy Ross Textiles

As part of the Emerging Designer Event series, ASID NY Metro members attended a tour of Judy Ross’s downtown Manhattan studio. Ross, an artist and textile designer, gave attendees a sneak peak at her new collection for Garnet Hill, launching February 2017, and shared about her involvement with the New York art community.
“I enjoy having people to my studio to tell my story and walk them through my design process,” says Ross. “It is always interesting to go back and review one’s own history. Not only does it inspire the audience you are talking to, but it reaffirms the amazing journey. All the energy and enthusiasm from the students at the EDE was a great inspiration to me! It’s a really great way for ASID to give back to the community and ensure great design for the future.”
