Job Description

Period Media is a West Hollywood-based boutique public relations and marketing communications agency working in the luxury lifestyle space, with specific expertise in the verticals of home, design, real estate, travel, and hospitality. Our firm is seeking junior and mid-level applicants to join our Los Angeles PR team in an Account Manager position in a hybrid work environment (in-person T-Th and remote M/F). Applicants must possess superior verbal and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, motivated, and have the ability to multi-task, working both independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

- Support firm principals in management of client accounts, in concert with other team members
- General account coordination and management tasks including administrative and professional responsibilities
- Field telephone calls and inquiries
- Press kit development including writing press releases and pitches, compiling client imagery and organizing client information
- Develop and maintain contact database and media lists
- Interact with media via email and telephone
- Interact with clients via email, telephone, zoom and in-person.
- Distribute press releases and pitches to media
- Assist in the development and implementation of social media campaigns
- Maintain office and client calendars
- Coordinate media requests including client interviews, Q&A’s, image requests, sample requests
- Support client events (virtual and in-person)

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior professionalism, including handling of confidential information
- Attention to detail
- Ability to think creatively and demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong motivation and follow-through.
- Ability to be comfortable interacting with clients – in person, over the phone and via email.
- Solid organizational skills; ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and see tasks through to completion
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once; multi-tasking between various clients and activities
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office programs. Experience with Adobe suite a PLUS.
- Candidates should have previous work experience in the fields of marketing and/or PR.
- Candidates should possess interest in design, fashion, travel/hospitality, media, etc.
