Job Description

You, our NYC Sales Manager, are a passionate, motivated individual driving the John Pomp brand in the New York Market. The NYC Sales Manager is responsible for cultivating and driving the sales pipeline that brings clients into the showroom, nurturing and creating strong relationships, implementing strategic outreach for client acquisition, and driving revenue growth within the market. This role is responsible for meaningfully contributing to the growth of an established brand through strong sales, driving clients into the space, deepening client relationships, and representing the John Pomp brand. You will be curating an elevated experience for our clients through the whole journey of purchasing John Pomp by inspiring clients with our brand story, guiding designers through our furniture and lighting collections, and maintaining the showroom presentation to the highest level. Collaborating with the Executive Team and the Marketing Department, you are responsible for coordinating sales and marketing efforts hosted in the showroom to create inspiring, unique, and memorable experiences for our clients.
As the NYC Sales Manager, you are responsible for coaching, guiding, and mentoring sales team members to develop hard and soft sales skills. Using metrics and data from our CRM, this role monitors the sales performance of the whole team within NYC, drives the team to meet or exceed goals, and motivates each individual to achieve and reach for success. Job Requirements

- Drive revenue growth and sales within NYC by cultivating a consistent pipeline and developing and creating strong relationships with clients
- Develop and expand our network of trade accounts, with a strong emphasis on acquiring new accounts and increasing John Pomp’s brand presence and specification on key residential and commercial projects.
- Drive outside sales in NYC by proactively securing, leading, and closing in-person client meetings—including design firm visits, studio appointments, and gallery presentations—with designers and architects.
- Leverage an established AD 100 and broader A&D book of business to drive new and existing clients into the NYC Flagship Showroom—hosting tours, events, meetings, and trainings that deepen relationships and secure ongoing project specifications for John Pomp in the NYC market.
- Position John Pomp Studios as the preferred design partner by offering product education, brand storytelling, and exceptional service.
- Generate and manage quotes, leads, and orders in the company's CRM system, collaborating with the NYC sales team as needed.
- Deliver physical samples to clients (via courier or in-person visits), reinforcing the luxury and tailored service experience.
- Stay continuously up to date on all product lines, new releases, and brand initiatives, representing John Pomp as a knowledgeable and confident ambassador.
- Consistently work toward and exceed individual and team sales goals in alignment with company growth objectives.
- Demonstrate high level of ownership of the NYC showroom space, ensuring it is presented and maintained to the highest level
- Collaborate with Leadership on coordination of showroom refreshes, installs, and photoshoots.
- Collaborate with and support the Executive team and Marketing department on trade events, cocktail hours, and designer visits hosted in the NYC showroom
- 10+ years of experience in sales within the high-end design industry (furniture, lighting, or interiors preferred).
