Avery Boardman, a manufacturer of upholstered furniture is looking for a full time Sales Associate located in the NYDC. Our company has been in business for 50 years and offers a high-end line of both standard and customized furniture, sold only to the design community (to the trade). The manufacturing operation is located in High Point, NC.
The candidate will serve as an Ambassador to the design community. The position will combine aspects of selling, marketing and design expertise. Interaction with the area design community will be key to success. Recognizing the days of simply waiting for clients to come to you have long since passed, this candidate will focus heavily on networking, staying current with trade publications, and attending important industry events. Regular visits to design studios as well as providing up to date information about the company and our product line to our account base, will be paramount.
The candidate would ideally have experience selling to a to the trade furniture showroom. Overall selling experience of 5 years would be desired. Current relevant experience working with top designers will be a significant consideration. Candidate will need to work with designers to direct them through the wide variety of furniture applications.
