Approximately 25% travel territory sales trips and light travel to outlying markets, may change based on company needs
Essential Functions:
1. Sales and Client Relationship Management:
Represent Calico Wallpaper with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Proactively identify and engage potential clients through outreach, networking, and industry events.
Conduct product presentations that highlight design, craftsmanship, and applications tailored to client needs.
Follow up on leads promptly, prepare estimates, negotiate terms, and close sales effectively.
2. Territory and Business Management:
Analyze market trends and client feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
Manage and expand both new and existing business to achieve and exceed sales goals.
Maintain Calico’s presence in client libraries and ensure materials are current.
Provide sales collateral—including brochures, digital assets, and samples—and process all sample orders efficiently to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
3. Client Service and Support:
Deliver an outstanding client experience through responsive and professional communication.
Confirm sample and order requests, send estimates and invoices, and ensure accurate follow-through from quote to payment.
Collaborate with Sales Support to maintain consistent service and resolve client needs swiftly.
Submit weekly call reports and participate in team meetings to share insights, challenges, and successes.
4. Event Representation and Participation:
Represent Calico Wallpaper at regional trade shows, design markets, and industry events.
Support event setup and client engagement, demonstrating deep product knowledge.
Build and maintain strong relationships with designers, architects, and industry influencers to expand visibility and generate new business.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of textile or wallcovering sales experience.
Attitude: Energetic, positive, and solutions-oriented.
Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively within a team.
Organization: Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-through.
Analysis: Strong ability to identify and act on growth opportunities.
Customer Focus: Responsive, service-driven mindset.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills.
Technology: Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite, and ERP/CRM systems.
Work Environment: Hybrid. Reliable transportation, internet, and ability to travel for client visits and trade events required.
