MR Architecture & Decor, a prestigious architecture and interior design firm specializing in high end residential and luxury retail currently has an opening in our decor department for a junior interior designer with a minimum of 3 years experience. Candidates must have strong design skills with experience in luxury residential and retail interiors and the ability to contribute to a very fast-paced and creative office. Candidates should have a thorough knowledge of the local design industry, fine antiques, and fabric/furniture vendors.
• Interior Design degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 3 years related professional experience.
• Proficiency managing project documentation, including coordination of furniture orders.
• Experience sourcing decorative finishes, furnishings & fabrics
• Experience visiting jobsites and assisting with the décor & furniture installation phase.
• Highly motivated with strong verbal and graphic communication skills.
• Desire and ability to thrive in a collaborative, creative, and open studio environment
• Currently living in New York area. Must be authorized to work in the US without need for employee sponsorship.
Knowledge with AutoCAD, Photoshop, and MS Office are essential. Knowledge of Adobe In-Design and Quickbooks is preferred.
