Danielle Rose Design Co. is seeking a highly skilled, creative, and collaborative Interior Designer to join our growing studio. This position is for a designer who thrives in high-end residential work, loves the details, and is excited to lead beautiful projects from early concept through installation.
This role is ideal for someone who is an experienced designer and ready to grow their career. This person is equal parts visionary and executor – confident leading clients, collaborating with contractors and navigating the realities of complex residential projects with grace and organization. They have years of professional design experience, excel in AutoCAD and construction documentation and can easily grasp new programs.
We are a boutique studio with high standards. Our team is deeply involved in every phase of the design process and takes pride in delivering thoughtful, layered homes that feel personal, elevated, and timeless.
** This is a 6 month temporary position with the possibility of long term employment for the right candidate.**
3+ Year of Interior Design Experience (Residential is highly preferred.)
Highly proficient in AutoCAD and construction documentation, including detailing and millwork (Preferred additional experience with other design programs.)
Experience using Studio Designer and are comfortable using it daily
Through use and knowledge of Canva. (Able to follow business standards and set up presentations, meetings, moodboards, etc.)
Process drive, deadline conscious, and financially aware of project costs and budgets
Have clear and kind communication when it comes to tradespersons, clients and teammates.
Ability to monitor a project and report back to the Principal Designer in a constructive manner
Experience with overseeing schedules, budgets and timelines. Able to recognize when a project needs to be geared in another direction, etc.
Recognize areas of improvement and are eager to speak up and offer suggestions / support
Self starter mindset; able to jump in and support without being asked
Experience with overseeing technical documentation & detailed specifications
Comfortable with and have the ability to travel locally across Long Island and the tri-state area for site visits and installs. (Minimum of 3 Days per week at Long Island Studio)
