Position Overview
The Gallery Director manages the daily operation of Untold and acts as the primary on-site representative. This role is operational, highly organized, and relationship-driven, with responsibilities spanning gallery management, client engagement, billing, internal communication, and event coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day gallery operations, scheduling, organization and upkeep
Coordinate installations, de-installations, and logistics across multiple mediums
Serve as the main point of contact for artists, designers, collaborators, and visiting design professionals
Deliver exceptional customer service with thoughtfulness and care
Maintain in-depth knowledge of participating brands and works
Confidently discuss rugs, lighting, furniture, and functional objects with clients and visitors
Drive sales through proactive outreach, presentations, and project-based selling.
Develop new business by identifying and contacting potential clients via showroom visits, calls, and targeted client engagement initiatives.
Manage the showroom sales pipeline from initial inquiry through quotation, order confirmation, and post-sale follow-up
Manage billing, invoicing, and financial tracking using QuickBooks, FreshBooks, or similar software
Maintain accurate records for inventory, pricing, and client interactions
Communicate regularly with Art+Loom and Avram Rusu Studio corporate offices
Assist in planning and coordinating industry events, including openings, designer previews, and small gatherings
Support event logistics such as scheduling, vendor coordination, guest management, and day-of execution
Participate in events, trade shows, and presentations to strengthen brand visibility and generate qualified leads
Ensure the gallery remains organized, professional, and presentation-ready

Qualifications
Experience in gallery, showroom, design, or creative operations in the high-end home space and familiarity with luxury client expectations
Professional, client-facing demeanor
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Comfort engaging across design disciplines (rugs, lighting, furniture, functional art)
Proficiency in QuickBooks, FreshBooks, or comparable billing software
