The East Coast Sales Manager oversees sales within their territory, focusing on client relationship management and collaboration with the Sales Director to implement effective strategies and goals.
Reports to: Sales Director
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Client Relationships:
- Serve as a brand ambassador, promoting Calico Wallpaper.
- Identify and acquire new clients through cold calling, networking and events.
- Develop tailored product presentations.
2. Territory Management:
- Analyze the market, identify growth opportunities, and manage sales targets.
- Ensure up-to-date product representation in client libraries and provide necessary sales collateral.
3. Client Service & Reporting:
- Deliver top-tier client service and maintain regular communication.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and submit detailed call reports.
4. Event Representation:
- Represent Calico at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry influencers, designers, architects, and other potential clients.
Location:
- Remote (WFH)
- New York Based
- Estimated 25% travel to include sales meetings, trade shows and industry events
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of Sales in textile or wallcovering sales experience.
- Attitude: Upbeat, energetic, and a can-do attitude.
- Work Environment: Ability to work from a home office and showroom; hybrid work model.
- Team Player: Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Organizational Skills: Stellar organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Customer-Centric: Track record of providing fast response times and a customer-centric mentality.
- Communication: Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite, and well-versed with ERP/CRM systems.
- Travel: Some travel required for regular client visits, trade shows, and company events.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation and internet required.
