During fall High Point Market, Thompson Traders hosted a Dia de los Muertos celebration for 33 designers. The Thompson family was able to share a part of their Mexican heritage with guests including dancers, singers and a parade. Guests in attendance included Lisa Mende, Sarah Walker, Wendy Woloshchuk, Amanda Carlson, Kara Cox, Libby Langdon, Liza Jones, Lauren Rivera, Cheryl Clendenon, Jennifer Stoner, Patti Johnson, Tracy deShazo, Alyce Lopez, Kristie Barnett, Elizabeth Scruggs, Angela Toledo, Traci Zeller, Krystine Edwards, Liz Lapan, Lisa Frahm, Deborah von Donop and Natalie Hutton.
“It was an honor to host this extraordinary group of interior designers—and sharing a piece of my heritage with them was so meaningful to my family and me,” says Alejandra Thompson, founder and creative director for Thompson Traders. “Thompson Traders started as a dream – mixing my love of copper with my beautiful family – and it has manifested into an opportunity to change the way people view and use copper. I wanted to create finishes and textures that could be used in any environment. I think every design we create at Thompson Traders is really a piece of art.”
