On June 15, The Shade Store and Veranda hosted a lively dinner to celebrate the design community of Philadelphia. Guests gathered at Royal Boucherie in Philadelphia’s old city neighborhood for an intimate dinner where the table was set with a custom runner in a Nate Berkus for The Shade Store fabric and custom napkins in Martyn Lawrence Bullard for The Shade Store fabric.
The evening began with cocktails, followed by a seated dinner during which The Shade Store’s chief marketing officer Michael Crotty and Veranda’s decoration director Dayle Wood gave remarks. Also in attendance were David Hamilton, vice president of sales at Hearst, designer and author Eddie Ross, Chanae Richards of Oloro Interiors, Rasheeda Gray of Gray Space Design, Nile Johnson of Nile Johnson Interior Design and Phoebe Schuh of P&S Daughters.
“At The Shade Store, it’s important for us to travel the country to connect with designers and support local design communities, and Philadelphia did not disappoint,” said Crotty. “We had a great mix of old friends and new faces who are as passionate about their work as they are about their city, and we were honored to host a beautiful evening in partnership with Veranda to celebrate design in Philadelphia.”
“The Philadelphia design community is an exceptionally welcoming, enthusiastic and talented group,” said Wood. “It was not only a pleasure but also incredibly inspiring as an editor to be there with The Shade Store and have the opportunity to meet and connect with designers in person again.”
