The Shade Store and Victoria Hagan took Chicago by storm to celebrate the designer’s collection in a series of events with Business of Home editor in chief Kaitlin Petersen.
On October 26, an intimate group of designers gathered at the newly redesigned Oriole, a Michelin Star restaurant in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. Guests were seated at a long table dressed with a custom runner in one of Hagan’s exclusive fabrics for The Shade Store and enjoyed an evening of great wine, food and company, with a special presentation from executive chef Noah Sandoval. Notable guests included Carrie Savino, Alida Coury, Brynn Olson, Christina Samatas and Amhad Freeman.
The following day, The Shade Store and Business of Home hosted a lively panel with Hagan and Petersen as part of Design Chicago. The two discussed the designer’s brand-new book, Live Now, as well as her collection with The Shade Store. After the panel, there was a book signing, where guests mingled while browsing through The Shade Store’s premium selection of materials and window treatment displays.
“It was such a delight to join The Shade Store in celebrating Victoria Hagan, and to connect in person with the Chicago design community,” says Petersen. “The opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new ones in this intimate setting made for a truly magical evening.”
