As part of Design Chicago on September 28, Ann Sacks welcomed designer Summer Thornton and author Sophie Donelson for a conversation about Thornton’s design journey, business savvy, social media approach and more. The two industry pros also discussed some of their favorite Ann Sacks products, with Thornton revealing why she loves them and how she incorporates them into her designs.
More than 80 guests were in attendance for the talk, after which they enjoyed brunchy bites and a rejuvenating juice bar.
“I always love packing the Ann Sacks showroom for Design Chicago and hosting a talk that really digs into what makes a business thrum,” said Donelson. “Summer Thornton was a wonderful pick for this—her firm is a real homegrown Chicago success story and her insights on growing her business, sourcing materials and evolving her aesthetic were in keeping with the Design Chicago and Ann Sacks vibes: vibrant and valuable.”
