On October 11 about 30 guests, including Ann Sacks president Bonnie Choruby, designers Constance Mueller, Lakesha Rose, Ilene Chase, Laurie Demetrio, Jodi Morton and Cynthia Vranas, and guests of honor Martyn Lawrence Bullard and Sophie Donelson gathered at The Belt Room in Chicago to celebrate Eutopia, Bullard’s new collection with Ann Sacks.
Design Chicago presented the perfect opportunity to highlight Bullard’s newest collection and recognize the designer for his wonderful partnership with Ann Sacks over the years. By all accounts the night was a celebratory success of networking and storytelling among Chicago’s best. Catering was deliciously delivered by Soho House Chicago, while Fleur de Lis crafted the lush floral arrangements. The following morning, the conversation continued with a panel discussion in the Ann Sacks showroom as part of official Design Chicago programming.
“Tile is one of my passions,” said Bullard. “It’s a brilliant way to add mesmerizing design, color and pattern to a space where other materials just won’t cut it. My new mosaic collection, Eutopia, allows you to create wallpaper-like patterns in wet areas like showers, kitchen backsplashes, bars and restaurants with wild decorative abandon. The hand-made quality of the products are, without exception, beautiful and very special in this world of mass-market production. I cannot wait to see the exciting ways designers and their clients will use this collection to make decorative magic in their projects and homes.”
