At Scout Design Studio, the Impossible collection started as a dare. The name alone suggests that it shouldn’t exist—and in fact, every piece in the series almost didn’t happen: the materials too rare, the makers too busy, the ideas too ambitious! But the creative team at Scout Design Studio loves a challenge, and doesn’t take no for an answer. Tracking down the unfindable (think hand-forged brass from a single artisan who swore he’d retired), reimagining the unbuildable, and turning every obstacle into a cherished object, the studio prevailed. What started as “impossible” became proof positive that limits are just suggestions. When the collection finally came together, it served as a reminder of why the brand builds in the first place: because the hardest things to make are always the most worth making.
