Talks articulate Italian influence on American architects

A suite of seven discussions will explore the topic of "American Architects Meet Italian Design" from May 16 to 18 at NYCxDESIGN. Hosted by INTERNI magazine and Salone del Mobile Milano in collaboration with Flos, Flou, FontanaArte, Luceplan, Poliform, Scavolini and Technogym, the series brings together a group of Italian design flagships’ architects to discuss their own work and to explore their shared Italian design history.

Interni magazine hosts the series of discussions.

The schedule is as follows:

Saturday, May 16

11:30 a.m., "Design with Love," with Dror Benshetrit of Dror, at the Technogym Showroom, 70 Greene Street

5:00 p.m., "Architecture Around the World," with Vivian Lee of Richard Meier & Partners at the Luceplan showroom, 14 Wooster Street

6:00 p.m., "Lights to Live," with Karim Rashid in collaboration with FontanaArte at the FontanaArte showroom, 45 Greene Street

Monday, May 18

9:00 a.m., "The USA Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015" with James Biber of Biber Architects in collaboration with Scavolini at the Scavolini Soho Gallery, 429 West Broadway

11:30 a.m., "International Projects" with Andrea Lamberti of Rafael Viñoly Architects in collaboration with Poliform at the Poliform showroom, 150 E 58th Street

4:30 p.m., "Tune Architecture, Tune Life with Dante O. Benini and Richard Meier in collaboration with Flou at Flou, 42 Greene Street

6:00 p.m., "Place, Culture, Craft," Coren Sharples of SHoP in collaboration with Flos, at the Flos Showroom, 152 Greene Street
