New executives at Stark, Vanguard, Arhaus, 1st Dibs and more

From design firm hirings to marketing executives in the retail and manufacturing sectors, read on for BOH’s monthly roundup of arrivals and departures in design, media and more.

Retail & Manufacturing
1stDibs has hired Bradford Shellhammer as its new chief marketing officer and chief product officer. Shellhammer previously held the same position at Rent the Runway and was vice president of buyer experience at eBay for six years.

Hardware brand Hettich America has appointed Matthias Bertl as its new CEO. Bertl has been with the company since 2018, most recently serving as managing director of its operations in Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Pendleton Woolen Mills, the Oregon-based clothing and home brand, hired Jennifer Ingraffea as its new CEO. Ingraeffea most recently was chief product and merchandising officer at The North Face. Before that, she worked for 19 years at Nike, where she rose to global vice president for kids footwear product merchandising.

New York–based furniture brand Sixpenny named Robert Natale as its new global CEO. Natale has been with the company since 2016 and served as chief of design before this.

San Francisco–based lighting manufacturer Gantri welcomed Phillip Raub as vice president of sales and marketing. Raub was previously the CEO of Model No. Furniture, as well as the former co-founder and president of software-powered retailer B8ta.

Alexander Dornbracht has been promoted from managing director of Kallista to vice president and general manager of two Kohler brands: Kallista and Robern. Dornbracht comes from the Dornbracht family that founded the eponymous kitchen and bath brand, and he served as president and CEO until the company was sold in 2021.

Arhaus hired Jill John as the new senior vice president of its trade division. John joins from Havenly Brands, where she was the chief customer officer for more than two years, and she served three years as CCO at Interior Define prior to its acquisition. Before that, John spent more than a decade in executive roles at retailers Serena & Lily (SVP of customer experience and brand marketing) and Williams-Sonoma (director of sales and business development).

Sherrill Furniture announced a flurry of promotions. Sydney Wells Martin has been elevated to vice president of marketing after joining the brand in 2022 as director of marketing; Mark Copeland is now the vice president of trade sales after directing the company’s showroom at the New York Design Center; Dax Allen transitioned from senior vice president of marketing and case goods merchandising to senior vice president of business development; and Kevin Steer has been promoted to director of compliance for all Sherrill divisions, an expanded role that will see him continue to report to Lacey Griffith, the senior vice president of IT and customer service.

Stark Carpet hired Johanna Kohr as the company’s new chief marketing officer. Kohr joins from the marketing firm Oliver Agency, prior to which she was the vice president of brand marketing for Exemplar Design.

North Carolina–based upholstery and casegood manufacturer Vanguard Furniture welcomed Amy Jo Cosgrove as its new national sales manager. Cosgrove joins from Codarus, where she was vice president of sales; prior to that, she was vice president of business development at Relative Lighting.

Commercial flooring brand Matter Surfaces announced that Christopher Lacasse is the new executive vice president of A&D and contractor sales. He joins the company from J+J Flooring Group, where he spent the last decade as regional vice president.

Gabriella White, the parent company of brands Gabby and Summer Classics, announced five leadership appointments. Jim Hardy has been promoted from chief retail officer to chief sales and marketing officer; James Ashley was hired as the vice president of wholesale sales, joining from Elk Home, where he was chief sales and marketing officer; Grant Jackson joins the brand as vice president of contract sales after serving as vice president of sales for Peacock Alley; Missy Vandenberg Strear, previously vice president of merchandising and development at Theodore Alexander, is the new vice president of creative; and Johna Smith was promoted from regional manager to vice president of retail.

MarketTime, a B2B sales technology provider for the gift, home and toy industries, announced that Todd Litzman has rejoined the company as CEO. Litzman was previously the president of the company from 2021 to 2024, and recently returned to lead its customer advisory board. He replaces Chris Lee, who stepped down from the role.

To the Trade
Textile brand Holland & Sherry Interiors welcomed Melinda Cedel as its new director of marketing. Cedel was most recently the marketing manager for Liaigre (USA).

The Italian luxury textile brand Rubelli USA appointed a new managing director, Michael Reagan. He joins the company from carpet brand Tai Ping, where he worked for 11 years, most recently as its managing director.

The Southwestern-based John Brooks multiline showroom—which has locations in Salt Lake City; Denver and Aspen, Colorado; Bozeman, Montana; and Scottsdale, Arizona—welcomed vice president Ben Menke as a new owner. Menke, who has been with the company for 25 years, joins co-founders Marvin Wilkinson and Arthur Ellsworth on the ownership team.

Design & Architecture
Ankrom Moisan, a West Coast architecture, interiors and planning firm with offices in San Francisco, Seattle and Portland, has appointed Murray Jenkins as its next president. Jenkins has been with the firm for nearly 25 years, working his way up from architectural intern to vice president of architecture and secretary of the company’s board of directors. He steps into the role formerly held by Dave Heater, who will transition into a new firmwide business development role.

St. Louis–based design firm Lawrence Group welcomed four new team members. Mikayla Blankenship, the new talent development business partner, is the former HR coordinator for the St. Louis Cardinals; Grace Cyr is the firm’s new interior design professional, with past experience at architecture firms in Missouri and Wyoming; Paavani Kar is a new senior interior designer, bringing 15 years of design experience from St. Louis–area commercial and health care design firms; and Dallas Brooks has been promoted from architecture intern to design professional, with architecture and construction experience at companies in Maryland, Ohio and Massachusetts.

Industry Organizations
The International Interior Design Association’s New York Chapter appointed Elisabeth Mejia as its president for the 2025-2026 term. Mejia, the vice president and office design leader for interiors at HKS, has been a member of IIDA NY since 2015, and previously served as co–vice president of student development.
