Co-founders of Italian lighting firm Foscarini, Carlo Urbinati and Alessandro Vecchiato, announced the appointment of an American CEO, Glenn Ludwig. Previously, Ludwig served as vice president North America Danish furniture design company Fritz Hansen.

“Glenn brings to Foscarini both his great knowledge of design and an understanding of the American market,” said Urbinati and Vecchiato. “With his help, Foscarini will establish a larger presence in the US and greatly expand its sales and brand recognition to architects, designers and consumers of design, both commercially and residentially.”

Ludwig will set up headquarters in New York City, and will be responsible for Foscarini’s presence in the US, Canada and Mexico.

Headquartered in Macon near Venice, Italy, Foscarini is known for its shapes, materials and meanings with light.  Foscarini is currently sold in over 2500 multi-brand points of sales in 50 countries.
