Kimball and Bentley Mills received recognition at the 11th annual IIDA/Contract Magazine Booth Design Awards, held at NeoCon East 2015 in Philadelphia. Kimball won the Large Booth category (over 400 square feet), while Bentley won for Small Booth (under 400 square feet).
“This annual competition challenges manufacturers to create a unique experience in limited space. We are thrilled to see the winners utilize purposeful, well-executed and cutting-edge design that entertains and educates. The winning booths will no doubt leave a lasting impression on NeoCon East attendees,” said IIDA executive vice president and CEO Cheryl S. Durst.
Judges included John Rouse, publisher of Contract magazine; Beverly Thomes, president of Contract Environments; and Michelle Prieston, interior designer at Gensler.
“Kimball and Bentley Mills both illustrated how a fresh approach can liven up a booth space, attract attention and invite attendees to engage with a company and its products. We were impressed with Bentley Mills’ urban-inspired design and Kimball’s innovative use of vignettes, lighting and finishes,” said Prieston.
The awards recognize originality, visual impact, the effective use of materials, and the use of space, color, texture, lighting and graphics in this year’s NeoCon East booths. The winners will be featured at ContractDesign.com and IIDA.org, as well as the Merchandise Mart website.
