International firms win American Architecture Prize

The award, which "recognizes the excellence of inspiring and innovative architectural firms around the globe based on the companies' total body of work," was announced earlier this month. The interior design category winner Kossmann.dejong from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, joined other firms hailing from throughout the world, chosen by a 32-member jury panel.

Among the winners:

Architectural Firm of The Year: Allford Hall Monaghan Morris from London, United Kingdom

Landscape & Urban Design Firm of the Year: PFS Studio from Vancouver, Canada

Small Firm of the Year Award in Multi-Disciplinary Architecture: Desai Chia Architecture from New York

Small Firm of the Year Award in Residential Architecture: Chang Architects from Singapore

Medium Firm of the Year Award in Institutional Architecture: JGMA of Chicago

Medium Firm of the Year Award in Residential Architecture: Belzberg Architects of Santa Monica

Medium Firm of the Year Award in Residential Interior Design: Rob Mills Architecture and Interiors of Victoria, Australia
