In an ongoing series that brings together designers to network and celebrate Leadership of Excellence Award honorees, the IIDA Leaders Breakfast will make its next appearance in California. The San Francisco event, held at the Four Seasons on September 16, will honor Arlene Blum, Ph.D. and Judy Levin, MSW, with guest speaker, columnist, author of the #1 New York Times bestselling memoir Wild. Next on the calendar will be the Los Angeles breakfast, honoring Frances Anderton, host of KCRW's DnA: Design and Architecture with guest speaker Jonathan Perelman, Vice President of BuzzFeed Motion Pictures at LA Hotel Downtown. Future breakfast events will take place this fall and winter in locales including Houston, Chicago, Calgary and Toronto.

The event, which began as a one-off in 1989 with the goal of introducing IIDA to business partners, has evolved into an eight-city event that most recently expanded, in 2007, to Canada with the Interior Designers of Canada.
