IFDA announced its 2015 crop of Rising Stars on November 19 at Lapicida’s D&D Building Annex showroom in an evening event emceed by designer Justin Shaulis. Product designer Pryor Callaway and interior designers Kevin Dumais, Jessica Geller, Bennett Leifer and Virginia Toledo were celebrated as emerging talents. Each designer shared his or her story and inspirations, and received the IFDA NY 2015 Rising Star Award during the cocktail reception.
Rose Hittmeyer of IFDA shared, “One of IFDA’s missions is to inspire and recognize leadership in our industry, both established up-and-coming. I am very proud to look back as the Rising Star event co-chair the past nine years and see how much our past Rising Stars have accomplished. They personify the standard of excellence throughout the furnishings and design industry that our organization hopes we will all achieve.”
