Mona J. Delia will be the new vice president of communications for High Point Market Authority (HPMA), replacing Cheminne Taylor Smith, who resigned from the position in May.

Delia has served as Executive Vice President at public relations and marketing communications firm JCPR; Vice President of Corporate Communications for a publicly traded real estate investment trust; and has held the roles of Senior Vice President of Investor Relations at Edelman and Principal at the Dilenschneider Group in New York. She has created impactful global communications campaigns for clients in the real estate, financial services, pharmaceutical, consumer products and alternative energy industries.

"The Market Authority has created an excellent communications infrastructure," Delia said in a statement. "I look forward to continuing to build the High Point Market brand and enhance our position as the world's most important home furnishings event."

In addition, Candy Baker will be director of industry sales and promotions. With almost 10 years of advertising sales experience and 20 years in the home furnishings industry, Baker will direct sales initiatives for all High Point Market sponsorships and promotions.

"I'm very excited to welcome Mona and Candy to the team," said Tom Conley, president and CEO of HPMA. "Their strong knowledge of the sales process, public relations and communications, coupled with the commitment to our exhibitors and attendees will be real assets as they contribute to the ongoing success of our industry."
