Fourteen new design stores and showrooms to check out

From design centers to storefronts, new showrooms are opening their doors around the country. From the U.S. Atlantic seaboard to London, designers can experience new offerings in furniture, bedding, accent pieces and flooring to suit a variety of styles and tastes.

New York

Julian Chichester and Mr. Brown London (Suite 604) have expanded their co-branded New York showroom at the New York Design Center (NYDC). The British home furnishings manufacturers' space has doubled to more than 5,000 square feet after only 24 months in NYC and includes the expanded lighting and furniture selection from Mr. Brown London. The showroom is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (200 Lexington Avenue)

Hamptons-based design company homenature opened its first NYC store, offering a selection of mid-century antiques, throws, raw stone accent pieces and other pieces befitting a modern beach house. (7 West 18th Street)

The Decoration & Design Building welcomes Dani Leather (Suite 214), Coco Mat (Suite 417), Forbes & Lomax (1502) and Fabricut (Suite 915) to its roster of new spaces. Nella Vetrina has expanded its showroom (Suite 315) to better display its selection of textured hides in over 120 colors. (979 Third Avenue)

Japanese premium bedding topping company Airweave has opened its first brick-and-mortar location in the U.S after a year of successful online sales in this country. The company uses innovative technology to create a state-of-the-art resin fiber core for its products, which can now be experienced in person for the first time in the U.S. (498 Broome Street)

Washington, DC

Thos. Moser has returned to Georgetown with a 5,500 square foot showroom located in a historic stone building. The showroom features Thos. Moser’s solid wood Handmade American Furniture line, including chairs, tables, stools and chests, among other pieces of furniture. Also available are new contemporary lines including the Cumberland Collection designed by Adam Rogers, director of design and product develoment for Thos. Moser. (1028 33rd Street, NW)

Atlanta

After selling to the design trade for more than 30 years, the Charles Stewart Company has opened its first showroom at the Galleries of Peachtree Hills. Designers will be able to view its upholstered furniture first-hand as well as customization options like frames and textiles. (451 Peachtree Hills Avenue, Suite 12)

High Point, NC

The MT Company is relocating its showroom in time for the Spring High Point Market. The 12,000-square-foot space will showcase two new licensed collections as well as new style and fabric updates to current collections. (311 North Hamilton Street)

Dania Beach, Floria

Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA) welcomes PID Floor’s new showroom, the company’s first physical presence in Florida. Designers and clients will be able to view its selection of solid and engineered hardwood flooring, parquet and a range of custom finishing options. (1855 Griffin Road, Suite RC6)

London

Luxury Living Group opened a flagship location in the Knightsbridge area of London, bringing refined Italian furniture to the city. The 500-square-meter store will feature exclusive lines from Bentley Home and Trussardi Casa designed by architect Carlo Colombo, and the Heritage Collection. The ground floor is dedicated to Trussardi Casa’s collection in a minimalist, contemporary setting, while the second floor houses Bentley Home furniture and a range of luxury accessories. Luxury Living founder and chairman Alberto Vignatelli was the art director for the Heritage Collection, which reinterprets classic pieces with artisanal techniques and includes sofas, armchairs and crystal and porcelain accessories.
