DWR pairs rescue pups with iconic furniture

Design Within Reach has partnered with the social media movement The Dogist (@thedogist), which chronicles the “beauty of dogs,” and North Shore Animal League America to create a series of portraits of rescue dogs posing on iconic midcentury modern furniture.

The grand opening of the design shop’s Manhasset location, in Long Island, New York, on July 20 brought together design aficionados and adoptable dogs. “Our new Manhasset Studio, like all DWR locations, is all about creating a warm and welcoming home,” says Design Within Reach CEO John Edelman. “For many of us, that home also includes a beloved pet, which is why we’ve partnered with North Shore Animal League America to bring attention to the many animals available for adoption. What’s more aesthetically pleasing than one of our classics matched with a puppy—irresistible."
