Dwell Media President Michela O'Connor Abrams announced the appointment of Amanda Dameron as Editor-in-Chief across all Dwell Media platforms, and Alejandro Chavetta as Creative Director, both effective immediately.

"As Dwell Media continues to grow and expand its platforms there is no team better suited than Amanda & Alejandro to expand the Dwell voice, aesthetic, and sharp curatorial eye across print, digital, events, and commerce. I believe a strong voice and clear vision for the growth of the Dwell brand is paramount," said O'Connor Abrams. "Amanda & Alejandro have emerged as the creative team with the vision and skills required to lead Dwell Media into the future."

Dameron has been with Dwell Media since July 2008 and has held the position of Executive Editor at Dwell Media since February 2011. Prior to that, she was the Digital Editorial Director. Previously, she held editorial positions at Western Interiors and Architectural Digest. In addition, her writing has appeared in Elle Decor UK, Travel + Leisure, Robb Report, Urbis, disjan, and Los Angeles Magazine. She has a degree in English from the University of Cincinnati and did post-graduate work at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Ms. Dameron is based in Dwell's New York City offices.

"Over the past decade Dwell has established itself as the source for what's happening in modern architecture and design. I look forward to expanding the conversation and continuing to celebrate the progressive, thought-provoking and important work burgeoning in design studios around the world," states Dameron.

Chavetta is from Mendoza, Argentina, and has been with Dwell Media as Art Director since June 2011. Previously, he was Art Director at San Francisco Magazine. His personal work has been exhibited internationally, and was recently published in the book: "Cutting Edges: Contemporary Collage." Mr. Chavetta is based in Dwell's San Francisco offices.

Other recent changes to the Dwell creative team include the addition of Photo Director Anna Alexander in San Francisco, and Senior Editor Kelsey Keith in New York City. Senior Editors Aaron Britt and Jaime Gross have both been promoted to Deputy Editor. Sarah Morse, previously with Veranda, has been hired as Events Marketing Manager.
