As part of Dwell magazine's renewed emphasis on interior design, the annual show Dwell on Design will host 500 American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) chapter leaders and board members this June in Los Angeles. Previously, the annual Chapter Leadership Conference had been held at NeoCon in Chicago.

"We have been following and discussing interior design for a decade, but now we're focusing on it more specifically," said Michela O’Connor Abrams, President, Dwell Media. "The industry itself has shifted and the conversation [between architecture and interior design] is being held together. Many architecture firms are creating in-house interior design services or combining with industrial and interior designers at the the start of new projects. So we feel Dwell's authority on this topic to be stronger than ever. We have been partners with ASID since 2004, but it's just now that we've partnered at this level to enhance the role of interior design within design in general."

ASID’s 30,000 members will also receive special discounts to Dwell events including Dwell Home Tours, Dwell Conversations, and City Modern NYC.
