Winter is finally coming to a close and the launches are getting hotter by the minute. From collectible passementerie-style pillow covers to kaleidoscopic floral wallcoverings, here are 11 highlights from the latest round of releases.
Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams called on Rafael de Cárdenas for its latest collaboration. The collection spans 19 upholstered and case good designs inspired by the New York designer’s ultramodern aesthetic, including a high-contrast pouf called Lily, a gently rounded bench ottoman named Beam and Lotus, a sculptural side table with a cantilevered top and beveled-edge pedestal base made of bleached walnut.
Ross Cassidy’s Suites series is teeming with sophisticated escapism. A love letter to the beach clubs of Saint-Tropez, the collaboration offers 65 outdoor pieces dressed in Sunbrella-upholstered cushions and sleek organic touches, such as the voluptuous rattan Bacio sofa and the violet-veined marble La Paloma side table.
Passementerie artist extraordinaire William Storms debuted a dexterously crafted collection for West Elm. Hand-loomed alongside artisans in Lima, Peru, using traditional weaving techniques, the series boasts a trio of highly collectible pillow covers in two distinct sizes, as well as framed artworks made from materials such as rope, cotton and jute.
Alice Temperley’s designs for Romo are a maximalist’s dream. The collection features fabrics, wallcoverings, trimmings and pillows outfitted in the iconic British fashion designer’s eye-catching whimsical motifs, including a metallic ombre leopard print wallpaper named Mimi and a kaleidoscopic floral velvet dubbed Bonita.
Eskayel’s newly launched Progressions series is teeming with multitonal appeal. The collection is comprised of five silk-and-merino wool rug designs adorned in a medley of ethereal, ombre-esque hues ranging from a grayscale stunner to an earth-toned beauty in gradient shades of Sienna.
Prospect Refuge Studio premiered Ontologia, its first-ever collaboration with Hennepin Made. Designed by the studio’s founder, interior designer Victoria Sass, the collection features four unruly light fixtures punctuated by bulbous hand-blown glass shades and exposed cords, including a chandelier, table lamp, floor lamp and wall sconce.
The Citizenry unveiled its first-ever line of customizable furniture. The Heirloom Bed collection spans three hand-made upholstered styles available in an assortment of fabrics and hues, including the low-lying Drift, the clean-lined Laurel and the solid maple and walnut-accented Ridge.
Erinn V.’s collection for Hartmann&Forbes made its stateside debut. Originally launched in Paris during Déco Off earlier this year, the tactile line boasts three woven-to-size grassweave window coverings including the hand-loomed, fishing-net-inspired At Sea; the richly dimensional Whitecaps; and the delicately striped Dockside.
Lulu and Georgia dropped a staycation-friendly collection just in time for the warm weather season. The new outdoor line features dozens of sophisticated, weather-safe pieces brimming with curvy silhouettes and touchable textures, such as the airy woven wicker Jolie accent chair and ribbed cement-blend coffee table named Dominic.
Austin-based showroom Supply’s third collection is sure to put a smile on your client’s face. The characterful textile line includes five exuberant wallpaper patterns bedecked in painterly free-spirited motifs, such as the mosaiclike Tiles, the botanical Vines and the pastel-toned Thistle.
Charlap Hyman & Herrero released 21, its third collection of rugs for Patterson Flynn. The hand-knotted series draws from a deep well of design references—Madeleine Castaing’s interiors, Gio Ponti ceramics, Cecil Beaton set designs and astrological charts—and includes the romantic arrow-and-cloud-filled Mercurio and the surrealist moon-spotted Grace in silk.
