Student designers are welcome to submit for the sixth annual Sherwin-Williams STIR Student Design Challenge, which recognizes excellence in residential and commercial design. Submissions are accepted through April 15.

The contest is open to original commercial and residential work entries from individuals or from a design team of up to three students. Top winners in each category will receive a $2,500 prize; second-place winners will receive a $1,000 cash prize; and third-place winners will win a $500 cash prize. The two first-place winners will also have their work featured in the 2016 edition of STIR, Sherwin Williams’ annual print magazine dedicated to design professionals, and all winners will be featured on the Sherwin-Williams Facebook page and in a future issue of the STIR eExtra email newsletter.

“Sherwin-Williams has a long-standing commitment to fostering emerging talent and their fresh perspectives. We’re pleased to provide another outlet for expression, and importantly, an opportunity for these young designers to share their visions broadly,” said Sue Wadden, director of color marketing for Sherwin-Williams.
