“The Confluence of Art and Design,” a Westweek event held at the Reagan Hayes showroom in West Hollywood last week, celebrated designer Reagan Hayes, design icon Windsor Smith and acclaimed artist Kimberly Brooks. The three, along with design writer and curator Rose Apodaca, participated in a discussion exploring the relationships between forms of art and the spaces they influence. The more than 100 guests also got a chance to view a display of new prints by Brooks and enjoy a book signing with Smith that followed the event. “There is so much to be said about art and design and the way they influence one another,” said Hayes. “As panelists, Rose, Windsor, Kimberly and I all brought such different perspectives to the discussion, and I think we all came away with new ideas for integrating beautiful art work into our spaces.”
