Margaret Russell, editor in chief of Architectural Digest, hosted the keynote address at the D&D Building Fall Market earlier this month. The discussion, “On Decorating: A Conversation About the Legendary Mark Hampton,” also featured Hampton’s daughter, AD100 designer Alexa Hampton. In the Upper Story in the D&D Building, Russell and Alexa Hampton talked about Mark Hampton’s influence on the design world—and on his daughter—and discussed the re-release of his classic design book, Mark Hampton, On Decorating.
The keynote was followed by a reception at the Kravet showroom, where attendees were invited to explore Kravet’s new website, CuratedKravet.com. About 110 guests attended the keynote and the reception, including Charles S. Cohen, president and CEO of Cohen Brothers Realty Corporation; Architectural Digest’s publisher and chief revenue officer, Giulio Capua, and design projects editor, Jacqueline Terrebonne; Ellen Kravet, vice president, Kravet; and other design notables, including Susie Barrett, Lyn Brown, Debra Goldstein and Gregory Shano.
