Open House New York and the Architectural League of New York will host an OpenStudios: Emerging Voices tour, a look into 40-plus design practices throughout Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn, on July 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The OpenStudios: Emerging Voices program has recognized young designers and architects throughout North America since 1982 for innovative thinking and pioneering work.

The self-guided tour will give all ticketholders a map to all participating studios. Visitors can then stop by the participating studios, on their own schedules, during opening hours, and can visit with on-site engineers and architects. Participating firms include SITU Studio; WXY architecture + urban design; Ali Tayar — parallel design; SHoP; and many others.

The tour celebrates the publication of 30 Years of Emerging Voices: Idea, Form, Resonance (Princeton Architectural Press, 2015), which chronicles the OpenStudios: Emerging Voice program.
