Remember when you were in school and could meet with your teachers after class to ask questions and get extra help on a subject you didn’t understand? Business of Home is bringing back this brilliant concept, but for designers! In our new series, Office Hours, just submit your question in advance and virtually connect with our insightful Launch instructors—including business coaches, accountants, marketing and public relations professionals, lawyers and more. They’ll personally answer any and all questions you and participating BOH Insiders may have for as long as time allows.

To kick things off—just in time for tax season—we’ve tapped accounting wiz Justin Masonek. During this hour-long session, he’ll be available to address topics ranging from sales tax and credit card management to bank account reconciliation and federal and state tax filing. Don’t miss this opportunity to profit from his expertise.

Additional Information:
This workshop is conducted through Zoom webinar. All you need to join is reliable internet access and computer speakers with good volume.

Justin Masonek has years of experience working with interior designers, teaching them how to manage their finances so that they have the necessary infrastructure in place to grow their business while still prioritizing the more creative aspects of their projects. After receiving a degree in accounting from Boston University, he established his own consulting service, narrowing his focus primarily to the interior design field as of 2007. Recognizing the need for strong administrative support in this complex industry, he prides himself on doing “just about everything except the design work” for his clients. This includes managing vendor payments, overseeing the expediting process, executing sales tax obligations and prepping all business reports for tax preparers.
